The Seymour Lady Eagles lacrosse team continued to collect awards this past week when seniors Olivia McCarrell and Jolee Davis along with sophomore McKenzie Cates was named to the All-State team.
McCarrell, who is signed to play next season at the University of the Cumberlands, led all goaltenders in Tennessee with a 67.8% save percentage and 18 wins. McCarrell was instrumental during her four seasons with the Eagles. McCarrell won 62 games and leaves with a 64% save percentage.
Davis, a late bloomer for the Eagles scored 82 goals and added 30 assists. Davis is signed to play at Lee University next season.
Cates, a sophomore for the Eagles, was second on the team with 54 goals and 29 assists. She also had 108 draw controls. Cates will spend her summer playing for TNLAX in Nashville and with the Smoky Mountain Shine in Seymour.
