A man was transported to the hospital after being shot in the abdomen in South Knoxville Tuesday evening.
According to reports from the Knoxville Police Department, officers responded Tuesday evening at around 10:50 p.m. to a shooting call in the 1400 block of Daylily Dr. in South Knoxville. Upon arrival, a male victim was found in a parking lot with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, reports show. He was transported to University of Tennessee Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
According to reports, no witness information was available and the victim refused to cooperate with officers. The victim was later identified as 23-year-old Walter Hill of Knoxville.
The Knoxville Police Department asked that anyone with information should call the crime and drug hotline at 215-7212. Tips can be left anonymously.
