A Seymour turn lane designed to reduce the heavy flow of traffic and increase safety is nearly completed.
The creation of the turn lane, which spans from Seymour Heights Christian Church to the intersection of Chapman Hwy., was an project conceived by the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
“TDOT Entrance Permit give the developer a year to complete the improvement, after the year they developer would be required to get anupdate to their permit,” said TDOT Community Relations Officer Mark Nagi. “This project is being performed by Weigel’s and their contractor. The plan showed widening the road and adding a left turn lane for their site.”
