As part of the next round of Knox Cash Mob, Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett has announced the community will have a chance to decide which South Knoxville business will get its turn in the spotlight.
“We get a lot of feedback from people with suggestions for possible cash mob locations,” said Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett. “This is a good way to get the community and local businesses directly involved in deciding the location of the next Knox Cash Mob.”
A cash mob, which is a form of a flash mob,is a group of people who assemble at a local business to make purchases. The purpose of these mobs is to support both the local businesses and the overall community.
Business nominations will be accepted until noon Mar. 1. Then, in an online vote beginning at 5 p.m., the community will have an opportunity to pick the mob destination from the top five nominees. Voting will end at 5 p.m. Mar. 6. The winning business will be announced Mar. 8.
