After being robbed at knife point less than a month ago, an attempt to copy the crime was thwarted thanks to the bravery of the Store Manager.

At about 9:30 a.m. Jan. 27 an unknown male suspect entered The Dollar General located at 4219 Chapman Hwy. wielding a concealed knife.

The suspect reportedly asked for the manager and demanded the manager open the safe. After the manager refused, the suspect announced he had a knife.

The manager replied that his knife was bigger and put his hands in his pocket. The suspect fled the scene in the direction of downtown Knoxville. Nothing was taken from the business.
