Primary School Honors Teachers of the Year

As the new school year continues to blossom, two Seymour Primary School Teachers have been selected as Teachers of the Year.

The honorees selected are Kindergarten teacher Carey Porter and Second Grade Teacher Jill Hodge.

“I am honored my colleagues chose me and I was surprised because I never expected such an honor,” Porter said. “I have always lived in Seymour, and I enjoy that it is a very close community that cares about the children here.  That is a big advantage to teaching here because there is community involvement.”
