Changes to both Federal and State immigration laws continue to be a hot topic of debate from both leaders in Washington and  state levels.

Local business owners are keeping current with state immigration law changes because of there affects on the workforce, capital gains, and the amount of business conducted along with increased costs to employers.

Nashville reported in mid-2011 Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam signed the new legislation into law.  The Tennessee Lawful Employment Act (TLEA) was designed to curtail the numbers of ‘illegal immigrants’ in Tennessee by placing further restrictions on businesses in the form of additional paperwork and fines.
