Work Continues On the Henley Street Bridge

A hot topic of debate for the past year has been the completion of the Henley Street Bridge, which has affected South Knoxville and Seymour since the closure in late 2010 with the bridge still being out of service.

Currently construction is underway on Henley Street Bridge by Britton Bridge LLC with workers out on both the upper roadway portion of the bridge and working on barges and other boats on the waterway underneath portions of the bridge.

Britton Bridge LLC was awarded the project by Tennessee Department of Transportation when deconstruction first began in 2010.
