Seymour High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) provides students with the opportunity to learn both in the classroom and hands-on about all aspects of agricultural sciences.
Agriculture is an important part of Sevier, Knox and Blount counties in the production of wheat, soybean, corn and hay being the most produced by local farmers.
“The number of farms in production have gone down in the past two decades but surviving farms are producing more than in prior years,” explained FFA Advisor, Buddy Cross.
