As an unincorporated section of three counties, Seymour is a rare community. Unfortunately, for residents without any personal transportation the burden could be even greater than many could imagine.
Not only is Seymour short on sidewalks and other safe walking paths, but much of the community is a physically disconnected for those who are without a vehicle.
While cities such as Knoxville and Sevierville offer public bus and trolley systems to improve traffic conditions, ease environmental concerns and connect residents who would be otherwise disjointed from the community, without a municipality government Seymour will have to do without once again.
