As Christmas and New Year’s approaches, the Herald wanted to take some time to remind its readers that this current issue will be the last until 2013.

To allow staff to spend time with their families and wind-down before the next year starts, the Herald will resume printing with an issue Jan. 9.

As the new year approaches the Herald looks forward to providing Seymour and South Knoxville with a voice and unbiased community news.

Some topics to be on the lookout for next year include a conclusion to the Residents Conflicted About the Future series, a further investigation into the James White Parkway extension,  a look back at 2012, as well as all the same high-quality community news Herald readers are familiar with.
