As the host many automobile accidents and the main throughway for both Seymour and South Knoxville, Chapman Hwy. could use some significant improvements.

One of the solutions proposed by the Tennessee Department of Transportation is to install a left turn lane from Evans Rd. to Burnett Ln.

Additionally, Chapman Hwy. will be widened to accommodate these changes.

An additional right-of-way is also slated as part of the project.
