The ongoing Knoxville Utility Board project of replacing 43 poles and adding about 10,000 feet of 3-phase wire for the transmission system continued into Seymour this week after a three week delay.
The project is slated to increase the capacity and reliability of the Seymour, Shooks Gap, and Kodak-Russell Substations to better serve the growing load in the areas of Northern Sevier County and Southeastern Knox County.
The project begins at Hendrons Chapel Substation Hendrons Chapel Rd. and ends at Shooks Gap Substation on Parrott St.
