As part of an effort to expand community outreach, a Seymour based church has hired a new person to head a specialized program.

Grace Baptist Church of Seymour welcomes Shane King as the new Youth Director.

“He is a proven leader of youth programs,” said Grace Baptist Church Sunday School Director Mel Canterbury. “His outgoing personality and great organizational skills will give the youth an educational and fun time learning the meaning of serving God.”

King attended Carson-Newman College and has been involved in ministerial work since leaving college. His wife Lauren is an accomplished vocalist who will contribute a great deal to the church’s program.
