Believe it or not, it’s almost basketball time in Seymour. The Eagles have started practice and are preparing to tip-off another exciting season under fourth year head coach Brian Jessie.
The Seymour basketball program has shown steady improvement since the first year Coach Jessie took over and this year is expected to be even better. “Our seniors and juniors are very familiar with our system now and that makes practice much better and more fun,” said Coach Jessie. “They understand what we as coaches want and now we can work on perfecting it.”
Last year the Eagles went 14-15 overall and 4-10 in the IMAC but that is an improvement over previous years.
“We have continued to improve each year I have been here,” said Coach Jessie. “We are getting better each year. We are more mentally tough than we have ever been. Our next step now is to move into the upper division of our district.”
