For some students the start of the school year is a dreadful and worrisome time while others are so excited they can’t sleep the night before, so to get things started the right way a daycare is throwing a party.

Favorite Friends Daycare center will host its annual Back to School Blast as a way to help area students’ transition from summer to the new school year.

“We will have games, a picnic and other fun activities planned for the celebration,” said Favorite Friends Owner Tammie Burnette. “This helps students transition because it gives them time mingle with others and will help them ease into the new school setting.”

Burnette said the Back to School Blast is something all children who are signed up for her daycare can participate in.
