Seymour winter sports were a huge success, highlighted by the Lady Eagle basketball team in regional competition along with bowling and wrestling which advanced to the state tournament. Boys’ basketball wasn’t far behind.
The Lady Eagles got off to a good start with an early undefeated district record of 4-0 under the leadership of Coach Brandi Stallings.
They played in the highly competitive Landair Ladies Classic in Greeneville against top teams in the state and did well.
Their first district win came over Cherokee followed by a win over Morristown-West, Jefferson County and Cocke County.
