Ten Sevier County 4-H Members participated in the Eastern Region 4-H Fashion & Design Conference held recently at the Spirit of the Smokies Lodge in Pigeon Forge.

Sevier County delegates included Sarah Anne Bowyer, Kristen Burroughs, Meredith Finchum, Courtney Gibson, Holly McCarter, Christy Newsom, Annie Ownby, Brieann Yount, Chaszityx Yount and Cierra Yount.

Participants took part in a variety of design classes which included paper fashion design, designing and making scarves from recycled t-shirts, making crocheted necklaces and constructing a pair of shorts.  Educational seminars were presented on costume design by Cody Ratliff of Country Tonite Theater and self image by Donna Roland, a certified image consultant.

Delegates enjoyed an afternoon of shopping at Tanger Five Oaks Mall and an evening show at Country Tonite.  They also completed a service project constructing 39 beds for kennels for the Sevier County Animal Shelter.
