Three suspects were detained by the Sevier County Sheriff’s Department June 1 after being stopped on Cherokee Hills Rd.

According to Sevier County Sheriff Captain Michael Hodges, the car that was stop matched a description given to his department by the Knox County Sheriff’s Department.

“We were told to be on the lookout for this car because it was believed to be involved in numerous burglaries near Kimberlin Heights,” he said.

Hodges said Kimberlin Heights shares a border with Knox and Sevier counties, so each sheriff’s department will network with the other in cases of suspicious activity.
