I had a great lunch our Mayor Larry Waters, Vice-Mayor Greg Patterson and Perrin Anderson, the Sevier County Communications Coordinator.

We discussed many items, the most important of which was the budget.

The county’s single largest cost item is the public school system, which also happens to be the largest employer of the county.

The Federal mandated cuts facing not only us, but the entire country, are making it more difficult than the previous year, but with the adjustments made the school budget should be approved, the mayor said.
