The Tennessee throws corps wound up its West Coast swing Saturday with three top-10 finishes at the UCSD Triton Invitational, one of the top throws meets in the country.

In the women’s Invitational shot put, senior Annie Alexander carded a fourth-place finish with a toss of 56 feet, 9 1/2 inches. Her season-best mark placed her as the top collegiate finisher.

Redshirt freshman Tavis Bailey checked in with a fourth-place finish in the open division of the shot put, stretching the tape measure to 51-3 1/2.

Junior Drew Thomas added the third top-10 outcome, finishing sixth in the hammer throw at 180-2.
