The Seymour Volunteer Fire Department responded to seven fires during the month of April.
Over the course of the month, the department fielded 155 calls and department volunteers put in 286 man hours.
Of the 155 calls, 75 were Emergency Medical Service and 19 were motor vehicle accidents, with two requiring extrication.
SVFD volunteers responded to two structure fires and five brush fires in April.
There were also 20 runs that were classified as other. The “other” category includes fire alarms, smoke investigations, nothing found, unauthorized burns, gas line breaks and so on.
In addition, 34 calls were canceled en route.
Of the total number of calls, 54 were in Sevier County, 75 were in Knox County and 26 were in Blount County.
