A murder suspect was taken into custody by the Sevierville Police Department last week after the officials responded to a 911 hang-up call.
Officers responded to the hang-up call at approximately 9 p.m. May 25.
Shortly after arriving at the Henderson Ave. apartment where the call originated, SPD Officer Dweese Milliron arrested Alex Estuardo Ramirez, 41, on a domestic violence charge.
Ramirez was then transported to the Sevier County Jail for booking.
It was then when an initial records check indicated that Ramirez was wanted on a homicide charge in Texas and Sevier County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the homicide charge the same day of Ramirez’s arrest.
All persons are considered innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
