Two Sevier County brothers were arrested in connection with a weekend burglary.
Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals said that at approximately 10:45 p.m. Nov. 26 the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from an occupied rental cabin on Boogertown Road.
The renters told dispatchers that they were inside the cabin when the front door was kicked open and two men entered the cabin. When the men saw the occupants they fled the scene in a silver SUV.
Officers responded and a BOLO was issued to other agencies for the vehicle.
A short time later a Pigeon Forge Officer spotted a similar vehicle at the Pilot in the city and upon checking the vehicle, found it to be occupied by the two men fitting the suspects’ descriptions and a woman.
After an investigation by Sevier County Detectives, brothers Wesley J. Branam, 24, and Larry E. Branam, 29, both of Blackberry Way, were charged with Aggravated Burglary and Robbery.
Wesley Branam was also charged with Simple Possession of Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Violation of Probation.
Both are being held in Sevier County Jail awaiting a hearing in Generals Sessions Court.
Detectives said that more charged may be added to the pair in connection to other burglaries in the area where the silver SUV had been seen.
Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Johnny Bohanan or Stephanie Hodges at (865) 428-1899.
