Since Meatballs Pizza Buffet opened on Chapman Hwy. in early May, residents have been stopping in to try fresh and authentic offerings.
Owners and Seymour residents Jeff Bishop and Ed Price noticed that there weren’t any pizza buffets in Seymour, so they decided to open Meatballs.
Bishop and Price are originally from New Jersey and their families originated from Italy.
“We know how to make great pizza,” Bishop said. “Plus we are locally owned and operated and we try to keep all the money right here in Seymour.”
One thing that definitely sets their pizza apart from most is their use of all fresh and natural ingredients.
“Our dough is made fresh and normally pizzerias use frozen dough,” Bishop said. “Our pizzas are made from scratch.”
In addition to pizza, the restaurant also offers a 10-foot salad bar with homemade salads.
“The salad bar is great for the health conscious and for those on the go,” he said.
Meatballs also facilitates parties and the restaurant holds 50 people inside and 25 people outside.
In the roughly two months since the restaurant has been open they have served nearly 3,000 people and many have become regulars.
“We are a real value for families,” Bishop said.
The restaurant offers a variety of daily specials throughout the week.
Tuesdays are Senior Nights, children can make their own pizza on Wednesdays, Thursdays are Seymour Nights, Fridays are Family Nights, Saturdays are Muscle Car Madness and Sunday is Worship Day.
For more information about the specials and hours at Meatballs call the restaurant at (865) 577-1099.
