Sevierville –BBQ Boot Camp will be held May 11 through 13 at the state-of-the-art Rel Maples Institute of Culinary Arts at Walters State Community College Sevier County Campus (1720 Old Newport Hwy Sevierville, TN 37876) and feature three nights of classes from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
World BBQ Champion Mike Davis will be the featured instructor for the event with two nights of classes featuring everything from Backyard barbequing and creating your own Spices, Rubs and Sauces to advanced barbeque smoking.
Chef Catherine Hallman will present the final night’s class – Summertime Pastries & Desserts.
Those interested may sign up to take any of the three night classes for $75 each or sign up for all three for only $200.
Sevierville’s sixth annual Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass will take place May 14 through 15.
This family-friendly event will once again bring barbeque cook teams from all over the United States to Sevierville to compete for $15,000 in cash and prizes and the title of Tennessee State Champion.
Rounding out the event is toe-tapping bluegrass music, incredible arts and crafts, kids’ games and the Mountain Soul Vocal Competition honoring Sevierville’s favorite hometown girl, Dolly Parton.
