It is time for a new racing season at 411 Motor Speedway.
    April 3 will mark the 50 anniversary of the historic speedway built by local businessman Coy Floyd.
    Local favorite Jason Cardwell will be defending his championship in the Late Model division, along with action pack racing in SuperTrucks, Classics, StreetStocks, ModMini, PureMini, and Topless Modifieds.
     There are 36 events scheduled this season through October. On April 3 there will be a special visit from the Easter bunny with prizes for children and adults.
    Gates will open in the grandstand at 3 p.m., with races beginning at 5 p.m. General admission is $10, with children under 12 for $5, and children under 5 are free.
