In and effort to emphasize the importance of voting, Sevier County Commissioner Candidate Joe Karl wants to help residents register to vote.
Karl, who is one of two candidates running for Seat A in District 6 in the upcoming election, is offering his assistance to anyone who is not yet registered to vote.
He is making registration forms available at his office at 500 Maryville Hwy. to anyone who wishes to register.
This is all in an attempt to make it easier for new residents, young voters, or anyone who is simply not registered to vote in the upcoming election.
Karl believes it is very important for young people to register to vote and to take an active interest in their local government.
With that in mind, Karl invites any high school student of legal voting age to stop by the Seymour Herald offices to register to vote.
He is also more than willing to assist anyone who made need help with the registration process.
“Every vote matters,” Karl said. “Sometimes the difference in an election can come down to one vote.”
For more information call Karl at 577-6609.
