What’s happening to the world seems to be happening right here in our own back yard.
UT’s head coach Lane Kiffin leaving the team, the university and the entire community in a lurch.
Where’s the loyalty, the commitment, the character?
It must be all wrapped up in the money.
Money Money Money.
The world is in need of it and so are we.
I suggest that if we became more interested in a person’s character, their morals and their commitments, then the world would be just fine.
Thank goodness there are still great people out there that believe in those basics of life.
But it seems that these tough times have even hit some of those many look up to.
You would think that the head coach, who preaches high standards and the commitment to the team would be like the captain going down with the ship, rather than the like the rat jumping off the sinking ship.
As I overhead one of Seymour High School’s coaches this morning at White Star Market say,  “The suns coming up in a few and UT will be just fine,” I was elated to think that other feel the same way as I do.
This is probably the beginning of something great, rather than the opposite.
Another interesting point I was recently thinking about that relates to the Kiffin situation is contracts.
What do contracts really mean.
To me, a contract is merely a piece of paper that’s worth exactly in proportion to the amount of money you have to support the highest paid attorney to enforce it.
Just like deed restrictions and unconstitutional laws. Only those with money can enforce a contract or correct an unconstitutional law.
So if you don’t have any money, I don’t recommend fighting the system.
Right or wrong, that’s our system. And believe me, it’s still the best in the world.
Don’t believe me? Send your daughter to Italy to study.
I think a contract should be enforced. After all, all parties have been educated from an early age to read all contracts before you sign them.
So, I’m assuming that Kiffin has been properly educated and read the contract.
More than likely, he had a few of his attorney’s read it for him.
Thank goodness we don’t have to have contracts to buy gas, or milk or a hamburger.
Just think what a mess that would be.
