Under the direction of Choir Director Jean Burkhart and Assistant Debbie Weed, the Seymour High School Choral Department once again put on an incredible show during this year's Veterans Program.

The performances were held Thursday November 5th at 1:30 p.m. & 7:00 p.m., Friday November 6th at 1:30 pm and Saturday November 7th at 7:00 p.m. in the Seymour High School Auditorium.

It was a full house as the crowd watched videos, listened to stories and enjoyed the voices of the choir as Veterans were given recognition for their years of service. All branches of the military were honored. The program began with the audience standing as veterans were escorted to their seats. The hour plus event made people in attendance smile, laugh and wipe away a few tears.

At the end of the program veterans were invited to refreshments in the school library. Dignitaries such as Senator Doug Overbey and State Representative Richard Montgomery attended the Thursday night performance. "It was a wonderful program," stated Senator Overbey. "They are some very talented students and I enjoyed the performance very much."
