According to Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals, a Sevier County man has been arrested in connection with a home burglary.
Seals states that on Wed. Oct 21st 2009 a home on Conley Dr. off Allensville Road was burglarized and a rifle, several musical instruments and assortment of jewelry was taken.
On Friday Oct. 23rd Edwin B. Whaley age 30 of 2350 Arch Rock Drive Sevierville was arrested in connection with the burglary. Whaley was taken into custody by Sevier Co. SO Detectives at the Family Inns West motel in Pigeon Forge without incident.
The rifle was recovered from the subject car and the musical instruments were later recovered at a business in Pigeon Forge where Whaley had sold them. Whaley is charged with one count of Aggravated Burglary and a $2500.00 bail was set and he is currently incarcerated in Sevier Co. Jail.
A Nov. 23rd arraignment date has been set in Sevier County General Sessions Court.
