The Helen Ross McNabb Center is planning a ribbon cutting for its newest offices in Blount County, which will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 10:00 am. The Blount County Chamber of Commerce will participate in holding this event. The address of the new facility is 244 S. Calderwood Street, Alcoa, TN 37701, located in Midland Plaza.
The new office will offer mental health services to adults, families and children.  A multi-disciplinary team consisting of therapists, case managers, nurse practitioners and RNs will meet the needs of their patients. The facility will provide traditional mental health out-patient services for children and adults, as well as, medication clinic services. The out-patient services provided include psycho-social assessment, individual and family therapy, and case management with varied intensity based on the client’s needs. Services provided by the medication clinic are psychiatric evaluations, psychopharmacology/ medications and nursing services.
