Police have arrested two former employees of the Pigeon Forge Care and Rehabilitation Center for allegedly "taking degrading photos of elderly patients on cell phones while in their care," according to a release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
According to the release, Mary Ann Burgess, 50, of 2569 Goose Gap Road in Sevierville, and April Longmire, 35, of 2545 Happy Hollow Road in Sevierville are each facing four counts of health care abuse. They were indicted by a grand jury earlier in the week.
"While employed with the Pigeon Forge Care and Rehabilitation Center as Certified Nursing Assistants, the two took numerous nude and degrading pictures of elderly patients," according to the TBI release states. Some were taken as far back as 2007, according to the release.
Both women have been fired from the health care facility.
