Blount County Sheriff James L. Berrong announced that a 46-year-old Seymour woman was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor today.
Lori Maples Wright, 46, Royal Avenue, Seymour, is being held on a $100,000 bond pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. August 21.
Investigators with the HEAT (Hi-Tech Evidence and Technology) Unit, as part of ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children), have been conducting an undercover investigation on Wright for the past several days. Tuesday afternoon, investigators with the HEAT Unit executed a search warrant at Wright’s residence and seized her computer. After a preview of the hard drive, several images and videos of child pornography were found on Wright’s computer. Wright was taken into custody Tuesday, and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.
