Remaining two-day Fan Fest to go on as scheduled including Janie Fricke and Cooter’s Garage Band
Merle Haggard’s scheduled appearance headlining the evening portion of this weekend’s Smoky Mountain Fan Fest at Smokies Stadium has been cancelled, as announced today by Haggard’s organization. The legendary country singer will not be able to perform due to health issues.
The remaining scheduled festivities for the two-day event will go on as planned, including performances by Janie Fricke and Cooter’s Garage Band that will go on as scheduled beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Only general admission seating will be available.
Tickets to this weekend’s Smoky Mountain Fan Fest are still available for purchase. A single-day Fan Fest adult ticket is $20 (two-day pass is $35), with children 11-and-under getting in for free with an adult ticket holder. Saturday’s Fan Fest festivities will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with the music beginning at 6:00, Sunday’s events will go from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Concert ticket refunds will be processed starting Wednesday, July 22. Refunds will be made back to the credit card used to purchase the tickets and only that card. Those who purchased tickets at the Smokies Stadium box office and paid cash will have to bring their tickets back to the box office – otherwise, nothing further is required.
Fan questions regarding today’s cancellation announcement can be directed to the Tennessee Smokies front office at (865) 286-2300.
