The Dean’s List for the 2009 spring semester was announced recently by administrators of Maryville College, and 15 students from Sevier County were among those meeting requirements for the academic distinction.
    Qualification for the Dean’s List includes a grade point average of at least 3.6 in all work undertaken with no grade below a “C.” Only full-time students are considered for the Dean’s List.
The following students from Sevier County earned a place on the Dean’s List:
From Seymour: Jeffrey Felts, the son of Cindy and Tom Christenberry of Seymour and Gary Felts of Concord, N.C.; Eric Matthews, the son of Robert and Janet Matthews; and Jacob Schettler, the son of Gus and Kim Schettler.
From Gatlinburg: Christopher Alam, the son of Vickie Alam of Gatlinburg and
Mohammed Alam of Pigeon Forge; and Jessica Herrell, the daughter of Tyler and Tammy Herrell.
