A terrific crowd on hand for Food City Race Night saw the #07 DWB of Jason Cardwell win his second race of the season over #63 Josh Collins' Barry Wright. #74 Clyde Stanton pulled even with Collins several times before settling for third. $100 Fast Qualifier winner #25 Scott Gardner ran forth, with 2008 Track Champion #1 Charles "Hurricane" Hurst rounding out the top five.
In StreetStock action, Bradley Lewelling in the 10m drove a flawless race to win, with #77 Travis Reno coming from the rear after being turned around on a restart, made his way back to second. #49 Jason Ogle was third, with Eric White #82 forth, and newcomer #18 Tony Lindsey in fifth.
In one of the best races of the night, #36 Bryan Gregory and #2 Terry Poore thrilled the fans with back and forth swaps of the lead in ModMini action. Gregory finally cleared Poore on a late race restart to bring home the victory.#41 Brian Berkley was third,#92 Cory Cate forth,and t6 Cindy Poore in fifth.
#12r Rick Houston returned to 411 to pick up his third Topless ModCrate win with "The Newport Outlaw" Josh Driskill coming home second. Weaverville, NC's Luke Fox was third, #00 Jeff Akard forth, and the 3t of Matt Letterman in fifth. The Herald will no longer be running race recaps due to the lack of an editor.
Classics always put on a show, and this week did not disappoint. #57 Drew Kennedy finished first, with #6 Logan Dukes coming from the rear all the way to second. Driver "X" was Matt Shockley in third, #60 Bobby Bohanan in forth, and #98 Marvin Ray in the top five.
Pure Minis saw a familiar winner with Mark Hittinger in first but the real race was for second, with #28 Adan Engle bringing it home over #4 James Lambert. #1 Michael Lambert was forth with a RWD #51 Dalton King in fifth.
SuperTruck action was wild and wooly. #42 Robbie Comer came from the rear to win. #4 "Lightnin'" Larry Sullivan finished second. Go-Cart standout Chase King brought "thunder" home third, the Hilliard brothers rounded out the top five with Freddy#74 forth and Steve #2 fifth.
The Ernie's Tools and More Bonus Money was paid to the second place driver in the StreetStock, ModMini and PureMini divisions, after a two was spun on the wheel.
