The Smokies took a win over the Diamond Jaxx last Thursday, winning 7-1 at home.

Casey Lambert took the win on the mound, allowing only one hit in six innings. Alessandro Maestri relieved Lambert in the seventh, allowing only one hit in two innings, and Todd Blackford closed out the game, allowing one earned run on two hits.

Tennessee wasted no time getting on the board, opening the bottom of the first with a Tony Thomas home run to left field.
