Knoxville Opera will present a Pagliacci Opera Preview at 6:30 p.m. April 1 at the Blount County Public Library. The performance will be a premier opera event for the library.
Maestro Brian Salesky, general director and conductor of Knoxville Opera, will be the guest speaker and accompany a Knoxville Opera artist who will sing excerpts from the popular potboiler opera “Pagliacci.”  
The Knoxville Opera production of “Pagliacci” is part of its annual Rossini Festival and takes place on at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 25, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at the Tennessee Theatre on Gay Street in downtown Knoxville. Tickets ($10 and up for students, $15 and up for adults) are available by calling the box office at 524-0795. The free admission Knoxville Opera Rossini Festival Italian Street Fair takes place from noon to 5 p.m. April on Gay Street in Downtown Knoxville. Nine hours of entertainment by 30 groups highlight the festivities along with a Children’s Funzone on Market Square.
Free and open to the public, the program is at the Blount County Public Library, 508 N. Cusick St., Maryville.
