PIGEON FORGE – The Seymour High School Eagles started off the night beating an outmatched Sevier County Smokey Bears Team 69-12 on Saturday. Seymour then faced Pigeon Forge and finished the night strong with a 66-14 victory.

Sevier County started the night with only 6 wrestlers forfeiting 8 matches which gave Seymour a 48-0 start. The Eagles then took 4 of the 6 matches with pins by Luke Hall, Trent Williams and Isaac Legg and a 6-5 win by Ryan King. The Smokey Bears scored on pins by Hunter Henderson and Mitchel McMahan making the final score Seymour 69, Sevier County 12.

In the second match of the night the Eagles went against the Pigeon Forge Tigers. The match started close with a pin by Seymour’s Trent Williams and Pigeon Forge’s Dustin Brown. The Eagles then opened up a big lead with pins by Michael Raimondi, Ryan King and Isaac Legg.
