Wartburg’s Reagan Williams emerged victorious Saturday night in the much-anticipated, highly-competitive 20-lap Street Stock Shoot-Out at Seymour’s legendary dirt oval, 411 Motor Speedway.
Reagan reigned supreme in the highly-charged 15-car Street Stock field, edging Walter Sims, of Hardin Valley, and Knoxville’s Quinn Bender, who finished in second and third-place, respectively.
Seymour’s Travis Reno, the ninth-place finisher in the shoot-out race, was the lone hometown racer among the field.
However, the top three finishers in the Truck Feature Saturday night hailed from Seymour. First-place Mark King, second-place Larry Sullivan, and third-place Danny Floyd gave the truck race, which has been dominated this season by 15-year old Blount County resident Tiffany Sheehan, a hometown feel despite a smaller-than-usual overall field. Sheehan, who was officially declared the 2008 points champion last week, did not race in Saturday’s Truck Feature.
