Saturday was a big night for Knoxville resident Clyde Stanton.
A driver in the Late Model feature race at Seymour’s 411 Motor Speedway, Stanton collected his first win at the legendary dirt oval. He took the checkered flag by holding off second-place finisher Charles Hurst and third-place finisher Jason Cardwell, both of Knoxville, down the stretch with a full-out dart to the finish line.
Fan favorite and Seymour resident Frog Ingle finished fifth in Saturday’s Late Model Feature event.
Lafollette’s Robbie Comer again made the most of his long trip down I-75 with another trip to Victory Lane following a win in the Modified Street Feature. Sevierville’s Brad Lewelling was second and Maryville’s Bobby Martin, in his hotrod truck, finished third in the Modified Street event.
