Tuesday around 3:30 PM Seymour Volunteer Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident on Chapman Hwy at Simpson Road.
Firefighters arrived within minutes of the call and found a 2002 GMC envoy 75 feet from the roadway down a 20 foot embankment laying on its drivers side.
There were four children ranging in ages from one year to six years and their 37 year old mother were slightly injured in the accident.
It was unclear how the accident took place.
Firefighters, paramedics with Rural Metro Ambulance Service along with Knoxville Volunteer Rescue Squad members, treated the patients. Tennessee Highway Patrol was also on the scene. All the patients were en route to UT hospital with 25 minutes of the accident.
