It’s coming down to crunch time for the Seymour Eagles soccer team.
The Eagles improved to 10-3-2 overall with a convincing 3-0 win over visiting Grace Christian Tuesday on Senior Night at Benton Householder Field.
More importantly though for the up-and-down Eagles is Friday’s crucial contest at District 3-AA rival Alcoa (11-3-1, 4-0). Seymour, which lost its first and only conference game last week to Carter (8-2-2, 5-1), must defeat the league-leading Tornadoes to have a chance to finish tied for first place in the final regular season district standings.
Alcoa knocked off Carter 3-1 two weeks ago to take control of the conference.
