The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has installed two high definition digital webcam systems on the SmartFIX40 project that will allow anyone with a computer and internet access to view progress on the $190 million construction project in downtown Knoxville.

The cameras can be viewed by going to the SmartFIX40 website at www.smartfix40.com.  Each camera takes a new image approximately every 15 minutes.  Each image is then archived into a calendar that can be accessed to monitor construction progress.  Also unique is a time lapse function that shows the entire construction process as it unfolds.  One camera has been erected near the Signature Bridge spanning I-40 on Hall of Fame Drive facing downtown.  The other camera has been erected near James White Parkway facing east toward the new three-level interchange (see below).
