Help is on the way in the form of a three-hour class that will get you back in the job race by assisting you in learning the basics of resume writing using Microsoft Word. A resume with poor layout or style problems or poor grammar and spelling will cause a job hunter to be eliminated from the competition. Sign up for this class and learn how to avoid these pitfalls. The Resume Writing Class will focus on three types of resumes:

Ø        The chronological resume

Ø        The skills or functional resume

Ø        The combination or creative resume

As you create your personal resume, you will learn to write a clear job objective, a cover letter and a follow-up letter. Attendees to the class will need to bring their personal work history, a CD or have an e-mail address to participate in the class. In addition, keyboarding and mouse skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word will be an asset for the class.
