Gatlinburg Golf Course begins clearing the way for construction of a new clubhouse with the liquidation of surplus property on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. in the clubhouse located at 520 Dollywood Lane in Pigeon Forge.
Items to be auctioned off to the highest bidder include an eight-foot slate pool table, numerous dining room tables and chairs, various large and small household appliances and kitchen gadgets, an assortment of furniture, lawn chairs, metal lockers and a sauna unit.
Gatlinburg Golf Course will receive a $1.9 million upgrade over the next year, including construction of a clubhouse to replace the facility built shortly after the opening of the 145-acre site in 1955. In addition, four holes of the course will receive a facelift in coming months.
