A Block Party in downtown Sevierville has been planned for Saturday, September 30, 2006 from 5:00PM – 10:00PM. The event is part of the Great Smoky Mountain Auto Fest at Smokies Stadium (I-40, exit 407) from Thursday, September 28 – Saturday, September 30, 2006.
At the Saturday night Block Party, portions of Court Avenue and Bruce Street near the Sevier County Courthouse will be blocked-off for displaying of registered Auto Fest cars. Spectators will be allowed entrance to the Block Party at no charge.
The Boys Night Out band will be playing on the Courthouse steps from 7:00PM – 10:00PM. Many vendors will be set-up, including car parts, crafts and food booths. The Auto Fest awards will be announced, including the prestigious Mayor’s Choice Award, which will be presented by City of Sevierville Mayor Bryan Atchley.
The Great Smoky Mountain Auto Fest has already received over 400 car entries (classics, antiques, street rods, customs and originals) from eleven different states. More than 60 car and craft vendors will be present during the event at Smokies Stadium (I-40, exit 407) from Thursday, September 28 – Saturday, September 30, 2006, including Year-One and Camp Cams. A car corral and swap meet area will also be set-up. A variety of great food and beverages will be available from Smokies Stadium.
