In an effort to help raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, National Fitness Center and Court South will be participating in the Knoxville Race for the Cure for the sixth consecutive year, and we need your help! We want to create a greater sense of community in our area as well as form lasting partnerships with area businesses by combining our efforts towards one large team and fundraising goal for the Knoxville affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. We want this year to be our most successful year yet in the Race for the Cure, both in our fundraising efforts and the number of walkers/runners participating on our team. If you are not already otherwise participating in this year’s Race, we would like to invite you and members of your company/business/organization to join our team and/or make a monetary contribution towards our team’s fundraising goal. Please read below for more information on how you, too, can participate in the fight for breast cancer:
OPTION 1 – JOIN OUR TEAM
You and others from your company/business/organization can join Team UltraFit and participate in our fundraising efforts, as well as the Race itself. (You can walk or run, be timed or not, and choose a 1 mile or 5K/3.1 mile track). We are asking that each individual participating on the team raise at least $35, which will earn you a Team UltraFit T-shirt (a registration fee is also required from the Foundation, which ranges from $12-$17 for kids to $22-$27 for adults). Prizes are awarded by the Foundation itself for top teams, top individual, etc., but we will be giving away our own Team UltraFit prizes this year, as well.
OPTION 2 – DONATE TO THE SGK FOUNDATION THROUGH TEAM
Don’t have the time to commit to the Race itself? That’s OK! Make a donation towards the Team UltraFit fundraising goal and, in return, we will list your company’s name/logo on our team’s race shirts, which will be worn the day of the race to be seen by thousands of participants! When you make your donation, it will consist of two parts: the amount you wish to designate to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and the amount you wish to designate towards the T-shirts (i.e. publicity/marketing for your company). To further promote the benefits for your company/business/organization, we will be offering category exclusivity, meaning that we will only use one company/business/organization from each business type (e.g. food, printing, vitamins/supplements, etc.). We hope that by participating in this option, we can form lasting partnerships within the community so that we can help each other out with our different business endeavors throughout the year, not just for this event.
OPTION 3 – JOIN OUR TEAM AND MAKE A COMPANY CONTRIBUTION
This option allows you to join our team to participate in the Race, as well as have your company’s name/logo on our team’s race shirt and enter into a lasting and beneficial community partnership with National Fitness Center and Court South.
