Todd Proffitt, President and CEO of Tennessee State Bank announces new hires and promotions. “It is always nice adding quality people to our bank family and rewarding to watch our current employees grow and take on new challenges,” says Proffitt.
Jay Smith joins TSB as a Vice President/Commercial Lender. Smith, a finance major from the University of Tennessee, has over 3 years banking experience and stays active in the community by participating in the Optimist Club, Henry Naff Scholarship Board, and as the Optimist Junior Golf Committee Chair.
Smith will be dividing his time between the TSB Powell and South Knox branches. A family man, he and his wife, Joanna have a daughter, Caroline.
Stephanie Bean, a TSB employee for over 10 years, has been promoted to Branch Manager at the South Knox location. Bean a graduate of Southeastern School of Consumer Credit has garnered most of her banking experience with TSB. “TSB has given me so many wonderful opportunities to advance my banking career as well as allowing me to serve my community through volunteerism.”
Bean stays active by participating in United Way, Junior Achievement, Relay for Life and is a member of the Northside Kiwanis Club as well as spending time with daughter Caroline Grace.
Jennifer Wagner was recently promoted to Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager of the TSB Powell location. “Jennifer has been a dedicated employee to TSB as well as having a strong commitment to the community of Powell. She was an excellent choice for that Branch,” adds Proffitt.
Brad McCarter, who has been with TSB for 2 years, was recently promoted to Assistant Vice President. Currently, McCarter is active Branch Manager at the Music Row Branch in Pigeon Forge. McCarter and wife Jennifer recently welcomed a son named Hunter.
“Change has always been a good thing for our bank. These additions and promotions will be of great value to our customers and the services we provide. The education and enthusiasm of these employees will serve us all well,” concludes Mr. Proffitt.
